Responsibilities:
- Answer general questions and make referrals for families/professionals seeking a range of Behavioral Health services.
- Implement a screening and triage process to assist families in determining the necessary services or assessments.
- Major responsibility for gathering referral and pre-admission information from referring agencies, professionals, clients and other customers.
- Completes all data entry for pre-admission including identifying information, reason for referral, relevant history, and payor type information.
- Identify emergent or complex cases and seek clinical review, as needed, prior to finalizing the referral.
- Maintains working relationship with administrative, operations, and clinical staff to assure efficiency in the day to day functioning of the resource and scheduling service.
- Employ a data-base to assess the demand/waiting lists for services and the ability of current service capacities to meet the community’s needs.
- Maintains confidentiality of all clinical and administrative information consistent with agency policy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work or a related area with experience in the field of behavioral health is required.
- Sitting – Constantly (67-100%)
